High performance with low addition quantities
Together with Empa, we developed our high-performance bi-component macrofiber Concrix as an alternative to steel fibers.
Extensive tests prove the excellent working capacity according to EFNARC guidelines: over 1,000 J with only 4.5 kg Concrix/m³ at 25 mm deformation (depending on the concrete formulation); the prevention of creep in the bond (proven in a long-term test >3,000 days); the resistance to aggressive water (de-icing salt, sulphate).
Other advantages of Concrix include low rebound and consequently lower fiber and concrete consumption as well as virtually no wear on hoses and nozzles.
Many advantages in terms of durability, sustainability and resource conservation.
The end product – a powerhouse
Various tests according to EFNARC guidelines by independent test institutes prove the excellent performance of Concrix. Over 1,000 J with only 4.5 kg/m³ Concrix at 25 mm deformation are possible.
The long-term test (creep test) by an independent test institute impressively proves that this fiber structure prevents creep in the composite. The test with Concrix ES, which lasted up to 3,000 days in some cases, is unique worldwide.
Concrix fibers are resistant to aggressive water (de-icing salt, sulphate). While steel already shows a significant decrease in mechanical properties after just one year, the load-bearing capacity of Concrix does not decrease.
The even distribution of approx. 500,000 fibers per 1m³ of concrete is partly responsible for the excellent values shown above (at a dosage of only 4.5 kg /m³).
