Foundation plate for TBM – Bözberg tunnel (CH)

Description

The new SBB Bözberg tunnel (≈ 2500 m length) has to be drilled by the TBM «S1012 Bözberg». To reach the starting position the TBM needs a foundation plate to move forward with its walking legs. The construction company  decided to switch to the synthetic high-performance fibre Concrix ES.

Advantages of Concrix ES solution:

• Cost savings (almost no steel, lower logistic costs, shorter construction time)
• The ease of operation with fibre reinforced concrete
• Very high performance of the fibre
• Static calculation based on European Standards
